Professor Catherine Attard is a distinguished educator and researcher in the field of mathematics education at Western Sydney University. She has significantly transformed the teaching and learning of primary mathematics through her innovative approaches and practical strategies. Catherine’s dedication to engaging students and teachers alike is evident in her work. Her research primarily focuses on student engagement with mathematics and the pedagogical practices that enhance it. Catherine is actively involved in exploring contemporary teaching practices, particularly through the integration of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence. She is a Chief Investigator on an Australian Research Council Discovery grant, investigating the practices of middle leaders in Australian schools.
